Autumn has arrived and The Centre, Livingston is bursting with new season offerings – from the coolest AW25 wardrobe must-haves, to home décor guaranteed to elevate your space.
When our Style Squad caught up with shoppers at The Centre, many were enjoying the free family Space Dome event taking place during the school holidays, which offered visitors a 360° planetarium film experience, as well as the chance to take part in science-themed activities, including handling meteorites and embarking on a virtual space trip using a VR headset.
Six lucky shoppers were delighted to share their purchases with us in return for a £25 Gift Card to spend at the shopping centre.
Our first keen shopper was Robyn Wereshchuk, 32, from Livingston, who was visiting The Centre with her family and browsing the stores for a few long sleeved tops for an upcoming trip to Riyadh. Robyn said: “The kids have loved the Space Dome event and seeing the satellite flying overhead in the dome was a real highlight! I picked up a few items today in H&M – it’s one of the places I tend to head for when I’m in The Centre, while the kids are always keen to go to JD Sports and The Entertainer for sportswear and toys.”

Next, we surprised new mum Stacey Sneddon, 33, a Dental Team Leader from East Calder, who was shopping in River Island with her husband and five week old baby boy. Stacey said: “I came down for some new jeans and I really like this relaxed straight leg pair from River Island. I also have a friend’s baby shower to attend and this cute bow hair clip is a really nice accessory for my outfit. There are such a good choice of stores at The Centre so I knew I’d find something – I love cosy burgundy tones so I’m spoilt for choice this season!”

Our stylist added: “Rich burgundy tones are one of the key colour trends of AW25 and are sure to make a luxe statement whether you’re dressing it up or keeping it casual. River Island has some great pieces in store – from faux leather midi dresses and studded blazers, to cosy alpaca-blend jumpers and wide leg tailored trousers.”
Our next lucky shopper was Susan Donnelly, 46, an Operations Manager from Bathgate, who was enjoying browsing the shops with her daughter after having lunch at the M&S Cafe. Susan said: “We’ve had a lovely day so far, dipping in to Søstrene Grene and H&M, and we also picked up a great illuminated mirror in Boots which was on offer for half price. I love autumnal greens and sequins so this New Look top caught my eye – the oversized sequins are really unusual.”

The Style Squad couldn’t resist checking out the purchases of Rohan Deb, 42, a Business Analyst from Livingston. Rohan lives close to The Centre so he finds it really handy to pop down for whatever he needs. Rohan said: “Today I wanted to buy for a few gifts for friends for Diwali and found just what I was looking for in Rituals – their sets are great for couples. I’m also going to pop to M&S while I’m here to pick up some food and stock up on snacks for my nine year old daughter.
Our stylist added: “Rituals Gift Sets offer a touch of indulgence, making them the perfect choice for friends and loved ones. They come beautifully wrapped and ready to give, and with options including home, body and beauty products, they can be tailored to suit the lucky recipient.”

Next, we stopped Kayleigh Nelson, 31, a Restaurant Manager from Livingston. Kayleigh was visiting The Centre with her son Lewis to check out the Space Dome event, have lunch and enjoy a spot of retail therapy. Kayleigh said: “Lewis loved the event, he thought it was really cool! Afterwards, we popped into S&S Argento and I spotted a delicate open clover necklace which I couldn’t resist getting. We’re going to go for lunch while we’re here – probably wagamama or Nando’s as they’re our favourites.”

Our final stylish shopper was Natalie Lawrence, 25, an Early Years Officer from Edinburgh. Natalie came to The Centre to look for comfortable work clothes, followed by lunch with her parents. Natalie said: “I really like the rich chocolate brown tones that are around this season, and there are a lot to choose from in H&M. I’m looking for comfortable trousers but I’m also partial to a nice maxi coat too!”

Our stylist commented: “H&M’s AW25 collection has a fantastic selection of styles, perfect for updating your workwear wardrobe. Key pieces range from tailoring, such as a masculine blazer and long, lean, black wool trousers, to maxi length jumper dresses and blouses with exposed seams and visible zips.”
At The Centre, Livingston there’s over 150 fantastic stores and restaurants to choose from and all under one roof!
