Local dad Paul Murray, from Livingston, won a Father’s Day makeover worth over £500, courtesy of The Centre, Livingston following a heartfelt nomination by his daughter Danielle, who recently welcomed a baby girl into the world.

Danielle said, “My dad is genuinely one of the most supportive and kind people I’ve ever known, especially over the last few months when he’s taken me to my hospital appointments and before then when I was studying.”

Paul’s wife, Sharn, joined him on his makeover and pampering day, which included a personal shopping experience with local stylist Leigh Maybury and a £150 Gift Card for an outfit of his choice, plus lots of gifts from a selection of retailers.

With his son’s engagement celebration coming up and lots of photos planned with his new granddaughter, he decided to spend his Gift Card on a new outfit from River Island – jeans, a t-shirt and a very stylish green jacket, with the help of Leigh, who gave Paul lots of tips on creating a capsule wardrobe and mix and matching throughout the seasons.

Next up was a visit to the stores who treated him with various gifts, including LUSH, who gave him a hand and arm massage, and MenKind, who presented him with a goody bag which included a ‘dad’s joke book.’

Starbucks also gifted Paul with a coffee and treats hamper, Bakers + Baristas gave him a box of six delicious muffins and Nando’s treated him to a Chicken Cheque for a meal for two.

His prize also included a skincare consultation and gifts from Boots, including No7 skincare products, a shaver and an electric toothbrush and he also received a voucher for a haircut at XXXTRA.

Paul said, “Huge thank you to everyone at The Centre, Livingston for making my day really special. I was blown away when I heard I’d won – it was rally such a lovely surprise.”
