Forty launches at Xile Clothing

Stylish streetwear brand Forty has just launched exclusively at Xile Clothing at The Centre – giving shoppers the chance to elevate their wardrobes for spring with some of their most iconic pieces.

Xile Clothing is renowned for showcasing the biggest names in contemporary menswear, alongside the best names in British fashion including Pretty Green, Lyle & Scott and Aquascutum. With some of Xile’s most recognisable brands sitting side by side with exclusive new additions, you’re sure to find everything you need to update your look.

Xile Clothing has grown to become a leader in the Scottish fashion scene and is dedicated to bringing the best clothing from around the world to the heart of Scotland.

The latest exciting addition to Xile Clothing’s offering is Forty – a brand born and bred in Glasgow, Forty prides itself on producing high quality, ethically sourced, streetwear with an edge, that’s as individual as you.

The brand features a quirky and instantly recognisable signature design – a monster drawn by company founder and renowned Scottish DJ Harry Miller’s 3 year old son, Bryce. Harry had spent more than 20 years working in the fashion industry and instantly fell in love with a doodle Bryce had drawn of a beady-eyed, pointy-eared beast.

Harry had the image emblazoned on a T-shirt, which he wore while spinning discs at a local club and the design proved such a hit that Harry started selling T-shirts, hoodies, polo tops and caps featuring the monster.

Demand grew and now Forty manufactures all its own designs and has been nominated for a number of top fashion awards. Their high-quality fashion has made them one of Scotland’s most talked about brands.

With music, people and product at the heart of everything that Forty does, they’ve curated a loyal following with a dedicated fan base throughout Scotland and beyond. They’ve also maintained their strong music connections and been involved in a number of high-profile collaborations with DJs such as Carl Cox and brands including Digital Groove Records, Hancock VA Jackets and Space Ibiza.

Xile Clothing at The Centre will be stocking key pieces from the essential Forty collection, including luxe hoodies, stylish sweats and timeless tees.

Forty Hoodies come in a luxurious double brushed jersey fabric as standard, a cosy mix of 85% organic ring spun cotton and 15% recycled polyester, offering both comfort and wear-ability. The Tom Hoodie comes in an extensive range of colours so there’s something for everyone no matter what your taste. The hoodies feature a kangaroo pocket, lace drawcords with metal tipping and Forty tab detailing on the pocket.

The Floyd Sweat is a woven badged appliqué crew neck sweat in loopback jersey, perfect for any occasion and great for layering during colder times of the year – it comes in a trim fit, so best to size up if you’re after a more relaxed aesthetic.

T-shirts are the cornerstone of Forty’s stylish offerings – from their first Camo designs to the classic Benjamin. The brand is always experimenting with new print techniques that bring the garments to life – drawing inspiration from music, their environment and anything in between.

If you’re looking for understated versatility, the Ben Camo tee is a wardrobe must-have. The woven monster badged appliqué tee, in a range of colours, is one of Forty’s best-selling pieces and sure to make a stylish additional to your t-shirt collection.

The Benjamin Original Tee features the iconic monster with the very first Forty camouflage on a 100% cotton, regular fit, crew neck tee. With added Forty branding below the monster this is an essential for any Forty fan.

All of the garments are designed and constructed with longevity in mind. Forty is passionate about sustainability and works closely with manufacturers and companies who ethically source the cotton for all of their T-shirts. All of the garments are also Global Organic Textile Standard approved as well as being Vegan approved and Fair Wear Foundation approved.
