This Mother’s Day, we had the pleasure of treating one very special mum to a day she’ll never forget.
Isobel Peel, a wonderful mum from Bathgate, was the deserving winner of our exclusive Mother’s Day makeover competition—nominated by her daughter, Simone, who shared the most touching message about her mum’s selflessness, kindness and strength. It was clear to everyone reading that Isobel is the kind of person who always puts others first, and we were honoured to give her a day all about her.
From the moment she arrived at The Centre, Isobel was met with a warm welcome from our team and local stylist Leigh Maybury, who helped her pick out the perfect new outfits for an upcoming family holiday to Sorrento in celebration of her 60th birthday. Her sister Varie, just as stylish and lovely, joined her for the day and shared plenty of helpful shopping tips along the way.
With a £150 Gift Card in hand, Isobel made stops at New Look, M&S, and River Island—where she found a beautiful raffia flower basket bag that matched a stunning new dress just in time for spring.
After a fun shopping spree, it was time to refuel at wagamama. Isobel and Varie enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring mushroom yaki soba, bang bang cauliflower, chicken raisukaree curry and hot honey fried chicken firecracker. It was Isobel’s first time dining at wagamama, and she’s already planning to return!
The pampering continued at Rituals, where Isobel enjoyed a relaxing hand massage using the indulgent Ritual of Mehr range. The calming atmosphere, cinnamon and ginger tea, and generous goody bags made it a moment of true relaxation.
From there, Lush and Boots added even more sparkle to the day. Lush gifted Isobel with a selection of beautifully scented skincare and haircare treats, while Boots offered a personalised make-up tutorial and a luxury gift bag filled with goodies from Estee Lauder, MAC, Lancome, No7 and more.
The surprises didn’t stop there. Isobel was also presented with a gorgeous hamper from Søstrene Grene, including a head massager, candle, velvet trinket box, and a bottle of I Want Choo Le Parfum from The Perfume Shop. The Centre team also added a bouquet of flowers, a £50 New Look voucher and £30 to spend at NowNow Café to round off her day.
